What is Soy Wax?

Soy wax is a natural, vegetable wax derived from the oil of soybeans. The process begins with the harvesting of soybeans, which are then cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is extracted from these flakes and subsequently hydrogenated.

 

Hydrogenation Process:
The hydrogenation process converts some of the oil's fatty acids from unsaturated to saturated, significantly altering the oil's melting point and making it solid at room temperature. The leftover bean husks are often repurposed as animal feed, ensuring minimal waste.

 

Sourced in the USA:
The United States is the leading producer of soybeans, with the majority grown in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.

• Warning: Remove the cork lid before burning and do not place it back on a lit candle. Always exercise caution when burning candles. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and away from flammable materials.

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Remove the cork lid before lighting.
2. Trim the wick to 1/4" before each use.
3. Ensure the candle is free of any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.
4. Burn the candle only on a level, fire-resistant surface.
5. Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time.
6. Discontinue use when only 1/4" of wax remains.
